Meine Malerei ist bisher immer eine Auseinandersetzung mit Menschen und ihren menschlichen Ausdrucksweisen gewesen. Geprägt wird sie besonders durch expressiv-empfundene Farben und die naturalistische Darstellung spielt hierbei eine untergeordnete Rolle. Ihre Formensprache wird eher gestisch als sachlich objektiv eingesetzt. Wenn dadurch die Psychologie des Menschen sichtbar gemacht wird, erfüllt sie ihren Zweck. I have always regarded my art as a preoccupation and study of men and their human ways of expressing themselves. It is particularly the expressionist colours that have a forming influence on my paintings, whereas naturalistic depiction is of secondary importance. Its use of forms is employed in a gesticulative way rather than an unemotional and objective one. When, by doing this, man’s psychology is revealed, its purpose is served. |

Eigentlich
begann ich mich erst im fortgeschrittenen Alter für die
Malerei zu interessieren. Durch Privatlehrer, Seminare und Kurse
studierte und erlernte ich ihre Grundlagen eingehender. Bis heute
prägt sie mein Leben und inspiriert mich zu verschiedenen
Projekten. Nach wie vor fordert sie meine ganze Aufmerksamkeit. Actually, it was rather late in life that my interest in art began. With the help of private tutors, in art seminars and courses, I studied and learnt the rudiments of art more thoroughly. Up to now, it has had a formative influence on my life and has inspired me to occupy myself with various projects. It still calls for my whole attention. By a spontaneous way of presentation and a patient , subtly differentiating work process, I try to give expression to my ideas with different materials and techniques. |

Zusammen-spiel von Mann und Frau. Das rot-violette
Tuch der Frau, z.B. symbolisiert ihr erlebtes Leiden in der Auseinandersetzung
mit dem Mann und die
Farben Rot, Orange und Violett beschreiben die Macht und Aggression,
die vom Mann ausgehen kann. Oftmals ist die Frau dann gezwungen,
sich in einer eigenen Gefühlswelt, die einer inneren Insel gleicht,
Geborgenheit und Schutz
zu suchen. |

“Männerwelt” ( It’s a man’s world ) There are still too many domains of men, which make it hard for a woman to stand on a level with a man with equal rights. There are too many reasons why this is so. |
This oil painting describes a symbolical aspect of the diverse interaction of man and woman. The red – violet cloth of the woman symbolizes for example the suffering she experienced in the clash with a man, and the colours of red, orange and violet describe the power and aggression that may come from a man. Quite often, the woman is then forced to try to find security and protection in her own emotions, which are inside her like on an inner island. |
